Okay, so tomorrow is my last day before I leave for college. I have to frantically pack some stuff before seeing my best friends for a goodbye hang out thing, so I plan on having a damned good send off. 

I have nothing, absolutely NOTHING!!! holding me back here. I almost feel bad about that though. I see all my friends crying and freaking out because they’ll miss their friends and what not. And all I can do is think practically. Other than maybe Shawn, KBeebes, and Izzy, very very few of my friends have tried to actually hang out this summer. Admittedly some have been away at camp or work or whatever, but it’s irrelevant. Without school we see very little of most of our friends. Hell, even my best friend hasn’t hung out with me the entire summer (excluding one week of church camp). Now, granted, we have a very strange best-friendship because he is a wanna-be jock and I’m just…different (someone please fit me into a stereotype because many people have tried and failed). But the point remains. I can’t miss my friends that I never saw. If people really miss me and want to stay in touch they will via text, skype, facebook, etc. And we can get together during breaks. One lovely friend is in the same town as my school and is already trying to coordinate weekly meetings to stay in touch (fuck yeah!) That’s the kind of shit I’m looking forward to. This is the time where people are actually forced to try if they actually care. You can’t think “He’s just across town, I’ll see him whenever!” anymore. Everyone is becoming aware of that; something I’ve known for years.

I’m also looking forward to new friends and enjoying myself. Maybe my academics will pose a challenge for once! Hells to the YES!!! This is what I have been waiting for. This is the rest of my life. This is where I can start to truly kick ass! SUNY Albany, HERE I COME!!!
